What is pdwr?

In October 2011, following a twenty-year career as a specialty wine buyer at some of America’s most influential domestic retailers, I launched the first independent wine review publication focused on producers in California, Oregon and Washington, exclusively. It is called purely domestic wine report, AKA pdwr and most of the content is available only by subscription.

Free access to a limited level of information including a wine of the week, and other commentary is available in a blog called worth noting. The purely domestic wine report  is published four times annually. Subscribing to the paid content is a two step process. Usually it takes about 10 - 12 weeks to get an issue of the main magazine tasted, photographed, launched and sent to the printer. By adding free run juice, reviews can be revealed in the week the wines are tasted. It represents a new alternative to access my thoughts on wines.
